black and white category of the Inter Federation Cup for Art.

Congratulations to Carmel Simmons, Jenny Jones, Margaret Horne,
Marie Togher, Noeleen Hayes and Ann Hobbs who were winners
at the Tinahely Show collecting a large number of 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes
and some Highly Commended for their craft and produce entries.
Well done ladies.

Congratulations to all the members who won the national final of the
Eleanora Gibbon Competition for a 15 minute variety show.
There was a sketch, singing from our choir and a solo from Elsie,
set dancing and verse speaking.

Congratulations to Una Mc Gowran and her singers who came 3rd
in the national final of the Baumann Shield for Music

Congratulations to Jenny Jones who was the national winner of the Gempack Recipe/Menu Competition for the second year running.
There were 23 federation finalists. Well done Jenny.

Congratulations to Una Ryan, Stephanie Mc Donald
and Joan O'Flaherty who once again won the federation round
of the table quiz and represented Wicklow
at the national final in An Grianan on 5th February.
There were 25 teams and our team came 3rd.
Well done ladies.

The 10 minutes entertainment in the old Irish style set in the 50s
was devised and produced by Una Ryan

Jenny Jones, Liz Doyle and Brigid Cahill devised a three course nutritional meal using Irish ingredients and their lovely starter of poached pears
was displayed and tasted on the night.
Catherine Carey put a great deal of work into Part 1 of the competition
on some places of interest in Wicklow.
Catherine's entry for the item to be used in the home
from recycled materials was also on display.
