What We Do

Ashford ICA meet on the first Tuesday of each month in Ashford School.
There is a business part of each meeting, when members hear about upcoming events and are brought up to date on what has been going on both in the guild and at federation (county) level and nationally within the organisation.
Each month we have a visiting speaker or demonstrator
on a wide range of topics.

Each month we also have an opportunity to socialise and chat with our friends and make new ones. ICA is a great way to get to know people in your area and many, many lasting frienships have started at a guild meeting.

Our Christmas Dinner at the Belair Hotel is always very popular

We enjoy a lovely meal and we provide our own entertainment.

We have our kriskindle and lots of fun and laughter.

In January we celebrate Nollaig na mBan with a trip to the theatre

In March we have an Irish night.
Bionn amhrain agus seit againn. Bainimid taitneamh as an oiche.

Each Wednesday members interested in arts and crafts meet in Maghermore from 10.30-12.30. This is an opportunity to learn new crafts or skills or simply chat while doing some craft you particularly enjoy.

We have a very active drama group who partake in many competitions and festivals. Rehearsals are good fun and again lasting friendships have started in the drama group.

Various workshops and classes are organised on a wide range of topics to cater for the diverse interests of our members. Recent ones have been
Personal Development, Tai Chi, Occupational First Aid and Computers.

Ranganna Gaeilge

14 members have enjoyed an eight week refresher Irish course.

Bhain siad taitneamh as agus d'fhoghlaim siad a lan.
They enjoyed the classes and learnt a lot.

Is maith linn bheith ag caint as gaeilge anois.
